Solid Ground transformed this approximately 45m² driveway in Ashton-under-Lyne with a complete excavation and a new Eclipse resin-bound finish. The charcoal block border frames the lighter grey resin and ties the finished driveway into the darker details on the property.
Before the Resin Driveway Installation
The original frontage used a mixture of aged block paving and tarmac. Rather than covering the existing surfaces, this project was fully dug out so the complete driveway could be rebuilt and prepared for the new resin system.
Full Dig-Out and Ground Preparation
The existing block paving and tarmac were removed across the driveway. Completing a full dig-out allowed the levels, edges and underlying construction to be prepared for the finished resin-bound surface rather than relying on the condition of the old driveway.
After excavation, the driveway was rebuilt with a new resin-ready base and charcoal border blocks. The preparation photograph below shows the full area before the decorative Eclipse resin surface was installed.
Eclipse Resin with Charcoal Block Borders
Eclipse is a cool grey resin blend that works particularly well with charcoal edging. On this project, the dark border provides a clean perimeter along the pavement and sides of the driveway while the lighter resin keeps the large frontage looking bright and coordinated.
