5-Year Resin Workmanship Warranty
Solid Ground Driveways Ltd backs qualifying resin-bound driveway and patio installations with a 5-Year Workmanship Warranty. The warranty is designed to give customers clear protection where a defect is attributable to our installation workmanship, while making a fair distinction between work we have constructed ourselves and existing or third-party bases that remain outside our control.
What the warranty covers
For qualifying work completed by Solid Ground, the warranty covers defects caused by our installation workmanship for five years from the completion date, subject to the project-specific quotation, invoice, completion record and these terms.
Full resin installations
Where Solid Ground is contracted to construct the complete approved installation, our workmanship warranty applies to the elements of the work that we have installed, including the resin-bound surface and the associated installation work stated in the quotation.
Resin overlays
Where resin is installed over an existing concrete or tarmac base that we have assessed as suitable for overlay, our resin installation workmanship is covered. Movement, cracking, settlement, moisture issues or failure originating in the pre-existing base are not covered unless our quotation specifically states otherwise.
Resin-only installations over customer or third-party bases
Where another person or contractor has prepared the base, Solid Ground’s warranty applies to our resin installation workmanship only. We cannot warrant the construction, strength, drainage performance, movement or long-term stability of work completed by others.
What is not covered
- Damage caused by abnormal loading, misuse, impact, deliberate damage or third-party works.
- Movement, subsidence, tree roots or failure of structures or bases not installed by Solid Ground.
- Damage caused by chemical contamination, fuel, solvents or unsuitable cleaning products.
- Changes caused by natural aggregate variation, normal weathering or reasonable colour variation.
- Damage associated with stationary-wheel dry turning, sharp objects or inappropriate jacking or loading.
- Weed growth caused by wind-borne seeds or organic matter on the surface.
- Flooding or drainage problems created by changes made after our work is completed.
- Damage caused by extreme events or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Customer care and maintenance
Reasonable maintenance is required. Resin surfaces should be kept clear of excessive organic debris and cleaned using appropriate methods. Customers should avoid aggressive pressure washing, harsh solvents and stationary-wheel dry turning. See our Resin Driveway Aftercare & Maintenance Guide.
Making a warranty claim
Contact Solid Ground as soon as reasonably possible after noticing a potential defect. Please provide the customer name, installation address, completion date where known, photographs and a short description of the issue. We will inspect or assess the reported issue and, where the defect is covered, agree an appropriate repair or remedial solution.
Remedy
Where a valid claim is accepted, our normal remedy will be to repair or rectify the affected workmanship. Resin is a natural aggregate product and a local repair can differ slightly in shade or texture from the original installation, particularly after the surrounding surface has weathered.
When the warranty starts
The 5-year workmanship period begins on completion of the qualifying works, provided the agreed contract sum has been paid in full, subject always to the customer’s statutory rights.
Your statutory rights
This warranty is additional to and does not affect the customer’s statutory rights. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Important: the exact scope of every project is determined by the written quotation and agreed specification. Where there is any conflict, consumer law and the project-specific contract take precedence.
